Christmas Happy Family.........................NEW

23/08/2012

Hi everyone, sorry we have not been around much but we have all been very busy.........................getting Christmas ready!!

We have today launched our Christmas Happy Family ribbon and they say "Happy Christmas with love x".

I had great fun designing this ribbon, it is a true pen and ink design. Both ribbons are printed onto pure white grosgrain and are EXCLUSIVE to us.  The red on each design has been raised during the print process so it even feels as if it is coloured in.  Just two simple fun designs that we have co-ordinated with mini AND micro heart buttons, 3mm white grosgrain, black satin and a new fab narrow taffeta ribbon in red.  All three are perfect for tag ribbons or enhancing your cards and projects.  But not only that look at this....................

For the first time EVER we have papers to match!!! So no longer will you have to hunt around for co-ordinating papers, we have done all the hard work for you.  There are seven designs to the Digi Paper Collection.

You download the collection once and print off as many copies as you want. Simples.  You just add them to your basket like normal and download them from your account.

I really hope you like this new Christmas design, if you want to have a poke about, then you can find the Collection here.  As an extra bonus we have FREE postage (on all orders over £15, ecxluding postage, just enter  august  into the voucher section) until the end of the month........well a little early Christmas spirit from our very own Bah Humbug!!!

Who has won Gold?

20/08/2012

Friday FREEBIE winner is....................

Number 2 = Carole
Hi Ali, glad you are getting back !!!!!. I love the gold just right for Christmas, I am not a lucky person and never win much. Sending a [[[Hug}}} take care, love Carole Lockhart. XXX

Well done Carole, this time you are lucky, you have a big bundle of gold ribbons, all we need is your address please to craftyribbons@gmail.com.  Thank you to everyone that left us wonderful comments this weekend, super to read.

First time we have seen Mollie in over a week, she has Chicken Pox and has been a poor bunny, but is getting back to normal.  Ali is fed up of going to the hospital, 3 visits last week and another three this week.  She got a gold star today from the physio, she has regained 100% movement in her elbow, even through it is badly bruised.  She makes me laugh, I took her to Portland on Sunday, a nice drive out with a scone at the lobster pot on Portland Bill.  She sits in the car doing these weird looking stretching things with her hand, very distracting to start with, but it seems to be working.

We have a bit of a buzz in the warehouse this week.................I think Christmas is coming..........................

Friday FREEBIE - Lots of Gold

17/08/2012

Hello everyone I am back, well sort of back, half back, here now and again sort of back!

Please excuse any extra typo's you may find, typing is not easy and as for mouse control...............well, my brain knows what to do but as for my hand.  I am having to re educate my right hand to do everything.  Poor Tony comes home from work, and I am all excited look, look what I can do, as I touch my little finger with my thumb!!  I feel like a little child full of excitement having just learnt how to stand on one leg, only for the parent to say "well done" in a distracted sort of voice.  I want fireworks to be set off and a round of applause, maybe I will get that when I can work out how to use scissors again.

Rachie got so inspired with the gold and silver medals that we achieved in the Olympics that she decided to start to put all our special golds and silvers onto the site.........I did warn her it would be a long job.  You can find lots of new gold ribbons here .

If you fancy an extra bumper collection of gold, silver and copper ribbons then please leave a comment below. Rachie still has more to upload to the site, not a job she would normally do (my work) but she is doing a briallant  job, as are all the other girls.  I did try and help yesterday, we had a sudden rush of orders since the close of the Olympics and the team were struggling to dispatch them in time.  I wanted to be useful so I was picking the ribbons from the shelves for the girls to cut, lining the orders up so they only had to measure and cut.  After a while Rachie said "don't bother to put the ribbons away Ali, we can do that".   Ahhh I was touched, she did not want me to get over tired.

I was feeling very pleased with myself, I helped the girls and lots of extra orders had been shipped.  During a tea break in the afternoon, I said how did I do?  Giggling broke out..........I gather I had caused chaos, I had picked the wrong colours, forgotting what I was doing.  They gave me 4/10 but 10/10 for effort.  Thanks girls!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Challenge blog - feeling fruity

16/08/2012

Boy will I be in trouble, I completely forgot to write this post.  Ali did remind me, but it went straight out of my head.

The girls have a new challenge starting today over on our challenge blog here

FEELING FRUITY

Sydney my niece designed this card, using just ribbons and buttons, just in case you were a little unsure it is a Strawberry Man!  The strawberry ribbon can be found here, sorry but I can not find the strawberry buttons on the site, but the little sentiment ribbon is here.  She used Ali's special pens to create the spots on the sides of the card.

Wicked work Sydney, your strawberry man looks very happy, I just wish your Auntie Ali was as happy.

I have been told to tell you we are having something called a DT call, I gather it is not painful!! You can find out all about it by visiting our Challenge blog here,

Think I will wear my tin hat to go home in, this should have been posted at 9 this morning!!!! Although it may not be as bad as when I told her last week, I wanted her to get better, as I was missing my annoying Ali.

Crafting for Gold - Day 14

10/08/2012

I am late. late late - sorry everyone.  Welcome to day 14 of Crafting for Gold, today the design team girls had to use glitter. Now why is it, I have never used glitter in my life BUT when I look in the mirror there is always a speck twinkling at me!! Always, without fail.  Todays sponsors are..................

We are a family owned art stamp company dedicated to providing crafters around the world with whimsical and fun rubber and digital stamp designs. Our exclusive stamps are great for card making, scrapbooking, and many other crafting projects.

We currently have 5 exclusive collections of rubber stamps and 6 exclusive collections of digital stamps! We also have custom rubber stamps and custom digital designs, our Shapeology line of metal cutting dies, and a large selection of paper crafting embellishments for that one stop shopping experience.

All of our rubber stamps are made from deeply etched rubber, mounted on Cling Cushion Foam, and once trimmed, they are ready to use with an acrylic block. And our digital images are 300dpi for optimal print quality and can be resized or rotated to fit your crafting needs. Be sure to check out all the wonderful products in our Whimsy Stamps Collections!

Alis crafting buddy for today was little Mollie. Mollie absolutely loves Ali's glitters, sometimes she emerges from Ali's craft room covered in the stuff.  Mollie is the yougest member of Team CR, and is only 3.  Lets see what they made together.

WOW that card does use glitter!!! First off I saw Ali and Mollie prowling the warehouse looking for the right ribbon, we all knew when they had found it Mollie gave an almighty cry out.  They had picked one of Christmas (don't mention Christmas to me) ribbons here, it is covered in glitter.  Rachie kindly tied the bow for them using our glittered velvet bling here for the centre.  Off the pair trotted back upstairs. Mollie used the die cutting machine to cut the tag, and Ali used another one of Cebilcas images on top.

Ali tied the green ribbon around the card and held it place while Mollie secured it with sellotape.  Rachie came and did the matt and layering for them.  Finally the bow was stuck in place. A very glittery card girls, well done.

Almost forgot, for a chance to win todays prize and see the fantastic work of the design team you must visit the Inspiration blog. The Inspiration blog can be found here .

We had a very good meeting with the specialist yesterday, all the bandages and padding were removed.  I did look away when the dressings were peeled away but I gather everything is healing nicely.  Ali has a whacking great bruise on her elbow, she made me take a picture of it, so she could see it! She has to attend physio now to get it moving again. It was so sweet last night she kept looking at her hand and smiling, I asked her what she was doing "I feel like a little girl with a new toy, I have my hand back".

I am sure she will be back soon.

Have a fab weekend everyone and thank you for visiting today.

Crafting for Gold - Day 13

09/08/2012

Hello everyone, thought I would be late posting this moning, I did not manage to get it pre- written yesterday.  Could not have Mandy (team leader) on my back!! For day 13 Sydney and Ali had to use ribbons - now that would have been difficult for them - which ones to choose I mean!!!  Our sponsor for today is.....

sirstampalot.co.uk, rubber stamping, card making projects, scrapbooking and paper crafting sirstampalot.co.uk

based in Peterbrough in the UK it is run by a Husband & Wife team...They stock thousand of fabulous craft goods so please checkout the Sir Stampalot website....

Before we see what the crafting duo come up with today, just a reminder that you have to visit the Inspiration blog and leave your name for a chance to win the prizes.  You have to be in it to win it!!! The Inspiration blog can be found here .

An unusual colour combo for Ali, Sydney must have picked this, if my memory serves me right her favourite colour is orange, although that could have been last week!

Even I recognise that little girl,  it is Tilda.  Cracking job girls I love the simplicity of this design.  I gather Dawn from the design team (Hi Dawn) stamped and coloured the image, Sydney used a corner punch to round the corners.  The sun flower paper came from a French craft shop that Ali dragged me into last summer.  Sydney picked the orange flower buttons here, and then teamed it all up with our Seam Binding ribbon here.  The finishing bow was made by Rachie, so another Team CR master piece!!!

We had a wonderful day yesterday in Southampton, Ali manfully tried to shop!  We did buy a few things for the house and a super coffee machine for the office, but she just could not face trying any clothes on.  The bandages on her arm have become loose, where it is not so swollen and it keeps catching the stitches.   It makes me feel faint even thinking about it.  But we are due back with the specialist later today so hopefully that will all be sorted, she is really hoping they will allow her to bend her elbow, being at right angles can not be much fun!!!

Till tomorrow

Tony x
