05/11/2013

Who is Snowflake, I hear you ask.
He is a Penguin..................................

Christmas Kit - Snowflake the Penguin

Do you like him?  We think he is adorable.
He has a little snowflake on his tummy.

Look at his little ribbon tag, oh I did enjoy designing him.

And we have lots and lots with us for Hobbycrafts at the NEC this week.

Anyone coming to see us?

We also have a NEW Charming Rustic Noel Heart...........................

Christmas Kit - Noel Heart Kit

and how about this cheeky Christmas Tree.

Christmas Kit - Tree Kit

This tree is a little different with regard the construction,
a small challenge as it is not like the other kits.

You can find these three NEW Kits here......

......and the best bit........they are part of the amazing deal of any 5 kits for £20
So why not stock up on a few early stocking fillers, while they are available!!!
We have two major shows back to back, I have been told by Rachie, I have to return to England from Paris with an empty van!!

Have a great day, the rain has stopped and I am hoping the sun will come out.
I have a few photos I need to take for tomorrows Hello Wednesday - I have done some crafting!

Hello wednesday - button notes

30/10/2013

Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!

Hello everyone, we do hope you are all safe and well after the storm.  Tin Pot Lane that leads to Clump Farm Ind. Est where our warehouse is was closed on Monday due to lots of fallen trees. The poor girls had to abandon their cars and walk in.  Tony and I had our ferry cancelled from Roscoff after our trip to purchase the Linen fabric from France.  We had to drive to Caen as this was the only ferry that was running, the crossing was somewhat "interesting" and not one I would like to repeat! Tony however slept all the way!!!!!

I have been busy this morning putting 13 NEW basics 2 Go buttons on the website.  You can find them here.  There are some really scrummy NEW colours.  Laura made this awesome notebook with the scarlet, orange, turquoise, shocking, lemon and lime colours.

It is just stunning, the colours, the rows, the fun!

Whoever you have made this for Laura is a very lucky bunny.  Thank you for sharing it with us.

You do love our Basics 2 Go button range, many of you tell me you just can not decide.  here is a little treat for you all...........

No codes required, just fill your basket with our wonderful selection of buttons (I think - we have the largest selection of loose button colours on the web) and our website will do all the rest.  The 20% off will appear as a discount.  We have not had this offer since September, so I am sure you must all be nearly ready to top up your buttons.

Have fun shopping, we have really enjoyed working with these buttons this Autumn.  We have more buttons in our kits here then ever before.  I came up with some new designs while in France, I have been told by the girls that there is "NO WAY" I can get them made for the NEC or Paris.

Poos, that's not fair.............watch this space.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Hello wednesday - who needs wellies

23/10/2013

Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!

WOW! Did you have the rain yesterday? I got drenched walking to my car yesterday evening, and I do not mean a little bit wet.
It looked like I had been swimming!!!

So maybe it is quite apt that I share with you one of the new display items I made for our exhibition stand.

They sit just above our "Cut Your Own" ribbon unit (yes we have scissors and a ruler and you can cut your own ribbons).
They have inspired lots of wellie lovers at Exeter and London.

If you remember Mollie and I decorated our wellies for our Summer Fete here.  Well!
Will she wear any other wellies? Nope.
She started big school in September, and they have to keep their wellies on the wall outside her class rooms.
Can you see Mollies?

Tee hee what fun!

I just wanted to say sorry I am not posting on the blog very often.  As you can imagine this time of year we are busier than normal, which is fantastic! I have also taken on a couple of extra roles within Crafty Ribbons which has taken away my "blog time".  We are a small team and do all try to pull together.  So if I am needed with re-stocking the exhibition stand, or packing orders I am always the first to be asked.

We have done really well with our new Ribbon Embroidery Love kits here  3 designs are now limited!.  They use genuine French fabric which I found on holiday in the summer.  A small little fabric shop in a seaside market town.  We have tried calling them to ask if they would send us some fabric, we would pay by card over the phone.
Ummmmmmmmmmm, "pardon pas possible".
Oh well looks like I will have to go to France for the weekend!!!

Hello wednesday - note book delight

16/10/2013

Don't you just LOVE wednesday's? Say hello to wednesday "hello wednesday" It's all downhill from now on to the weekend - yippee!!!

Oooooh it has been a while since the last Hello wednesday, it has all got sort of extra busy.   Ummmm something to do with Christmas I think!!

We have a guest designer today, Laura.  Laura is one of our fab designers for the challenge blog here
You can also see many of her creations on our exhibition stand. She is a wizard with ribbon and like me just LOVES it!

Ribbon weaving at it's very best.
Laura has not only used plain ribbons but she has created extra texture by incorporating velvets, cotton and gold edge ribbons.

I have one question to ask Laura...........can you bring yourself to write in the notebook?

You can see more of Laura's spectacular creations here. thank you Laura for sharing your creation with us.

We would also like to thank everyone that came to see us at Ally Pally over the weekend.  Did you have fun?  We did.........we had a loose drain cover where Tony and I stand by the till.  So all our customers had a ride and a giggle as the drain cover acted like a seesaw.  It must have been the happiest stand at the show!!!!

The girls are busy in the warehouse getting ready for our last two show - Hobbycrafts at the NEC and Paris, so lots of cutting, chopping and cups of tea.

What am I up to you may ask.............well I seem to be on a little bit of a design roll at the moment.  Do you want to see my two new creations......................

We have a gingerbread man that matches our gingerbread ribbon.....
He has been nicknamed the "Marmite man" love him or hate him ahhhhh!

Christmas Ribbon - Crafty Gingerbread Men

and we also have Santa

Santa is the same as on our NEW Christmas Winterscene ribbon.......
His little legs are adorable, they just dangle!

Winterscene Stamp Ribbon - WANT IT ALL

Both the new kits can be found here and are £5.00 each BUT any 5 kits are only £20
Perfect for little stocking fillers.

Enjoy the rest of the day, the sun has come out here in Dorset, maybe it is time to lift the big roll over door.
