I had a proper weekend of sewing – I am totally in love with our new Handmade Ribbon Labels.
They are so easy to use and just finish off a project.

Hello wednesday everyone, how are you all?
I having been enjoying my time behind the camera and photographing another NEW and EXCLUSIVE Collection.
Animal Cuddles is a fun collection of ribbons, toppers and digis. All using the fun and cute collection of animals.
We have five animal cuddles, bunnies, cats, dogs, pigs and Spike the Hedgehog. We teamed these up with two delightful messages all about smiles.
Our design team have had these ribbons for a few weeks, and have struggled to keep them a secret.
These are all Kelly’s creations, I am sure you will agree with me they are fun and would put a smile on faces.
The images Kelly has used can either be purchased as a pack of mixed toppers or you can download digi images.

Handmade Ribbon Labels

Hello everyone, it has been awhile.
Tony and I had a wonderful time at the French shows and arrived back last week.
Rather exhausted and full of cold, it is not surprising considering the amount of people we meet and greet.
Today I finally made it up to my office, camera in hand to take some photos of new ribbons.
I have just added these to the website.
Is it a ribbon or a label? Well a bit of both.
Narrow 9mm ribbon with either Handmade or
Fait Main (Handmade in French).
But the really interesting ones are these.
Cut the ribbon along the dotted lines, fold in half and you have a double sided label.
Perfect to sew into a seam, or stick to the side of a card.
So is it a ribbon or a label? We have called it Handmade Ribbon Labels!

Hello wednesday - work in progress

Morning everyone thought I would share some of work in progress today.
I know I have been rather quiet on here this year, but I have been doing lots of different things.
Sadly the blog has suffered, something had to – sorry.
This is one of the different projects I have been working on recently, as you can see it is definitely WIP!
Just two of my hollyhocks made from silk ribbon.
Here are some French Knots I was working on last night, hence the darkness of the picture!

This is called Walled Garden and is one of 4 designs I have created for Ribbon Embroidery.
Each panel is printed onto 100% cotton with enough room around the design for you to attach to an embroidery frame.
There are no instructions, stitch guide or colour picture.
Just use your imagination to create a ribbon embroidery masterpiece.
Use the fabric to inspire you.
Embroider as much detail as you want, add threads, beads and enjoy.

Buying Adventure

Tony and I have been on a buying trip…….
…….what with the advent of the internet it is not something that occurs very often.
We did have fun……..…and it turned into a adventure ….…it started snowing..

….for some odd reason we did not expect this, the temperature started dropping….

and went all the way down to -10!
“Bossy” our sat nav decided to take us the scenic route, we had no idea where we were going so we followed her instructions.
We were going up and up and yes you guessed it we got stuck!!!!
Thankfully a farmer was on his way home for lunch and helped us on our way.

Yes we were going to a Lace factory…………..ooh I was so excited to be seeing and buying this
The noise and smell from the machine room was beyond belief. 60 machines all clattering away, with little bobbins spinning around. This was traditional lace making at its very best, some of the machines were over 80 years old, not a computer in sight. The intricate designs transferred to the machines via hole punched cards. Totally amazing and a wicked time…………apart from the fact I spent lots and lots of money!! Tee hee sorry Tony.
I have launched two cotton ranges.
This is called Clermont a wide 18mm cotton lace with a crochet style feel to it.
Etienne is also made from cotton but much finer to the touch and only 11mm wide.
As these are made using traditional methods the widths do vary slightly, but they are so yummy I am not sure it will matter. All the Design team girls are in love with our new lace, they have had to keep it a secret for weeks.

Hello wednesday–retro cars

Rather a late Hello wednesday, but I have been at the dentist again!
But I did arrive back into the warehouse to find a delivery for me….oooh more NEW Ribbons.
I designed our NEW Spring ribbons back in December, with the aim to get them all completed before Christmas.
I did not get as many ribbons completed as I wanted to, but what it did mean was that I can show them to you 6 weeks earlier then normal – yeah!
So drum roll please, the first ribbon of our Spring reveal is…………
Retro cars
62mm antique white grosgrain ribbon printed with 8 different retro car images.
Perfect for cutting up or can be used as a ribbon!

I found these cans in London at the weekend, and thought they would be perfect for my bucket bags.
I got this one as well. What a cool prezzie for someone under the weather.

14 images to the metre, there is space between each image so they can be used as sew on labels.
I really enjoyed designing this ribbon, and I know a certain person on our team is very impressed with it.

NEW Basics 2 Go Ribbon Rolls

A busy first week back.
The girls felt a little bit snowed under with all the back orders, but we are pleased to say they have caught up.
Yeah, well done girls – thank you.
So I thought I had better pull my finger out and start showing you some of my new goodies………
We have increased our really popular Basics 2 Go range.
We have added 11 colours in 6mm including white, cream and scarlet.
10 colours in 16mm and 6 colours in 22mm.
All are on 22.85mtr rolls (25yds) and can be found here
A couple of satin rolls have been added – Midnight, Lupin and Purple.
We have also added 10, yep 10 new Basics 2 Go Buttons!
We know you LOVE our buttons and there is even a new colour way called LOVE!

We are discontinuing our 40mm Country check ribbon 
It is such a shame, but the manufacturers have stopped making it and we can no longer fulfil large quantities.
I quickly made this simple card – Just for you! x

Hello everyone
We are back!
It is the only time of year that we close the warehouse for two complete weeks.
Tony and I even managed to stay away, it is good to have a complete rest.
We popped in yesterday to turn the heating on, but it has taken most of the day to warm up.
Apart from my office, as it is at the top of the warehouse it got warm first.
I have been really toasted, while the poor girls downstairs looked like snowmen!
We had a bit of an IT issue this morning, some of the computers decided that they would have a hissy fit. I just think they were cold! All seems to be ok now.
I am really excited to be back, we have a lot going on…………….new things that I can not tell you about just yet.
Sorry.
But as soon as I can, you will be the first to know.
The girls have been pulling and packing orders as quickly as they can. They almost completed all the orders placed last year, I think they got to December 29th. So if you placed an order during this period, it should be with you in the next day or two.
The January pack orders will start to be dispatched tomorrow onwards

Our fizz bomb pack is rather fun in shades of purple and lilac.
We even have Christmas packs, maybe a little early for some. But with 8mtrs for only £1.00 can you resist it?
Every single pack is only £1, regardless of the number of ribbons, we also have a lace pack.
This lace was £1.25 per mtr, you can now get 4mtrs for only £1. Colours will vary from pack to pack.
We only make our £1 packs in January, so when they are gone…..they are gone for good.
